Well how would you feel if you woke up just at the precise moment when your favorite sports person in tennis just reached the point of being squished--in this case Roger Fed--at the hands of my least favorite sports person--Djokovic.
I mean--talk about bad timing--but this is what can happen if you wake up too early for your own good--on a Saturday morning--and stupidly decide to turn on the Tennis Channel.
Those who read my blog already know--that Tennis is my fav. sport to watch and to play--although I'm not very good at it--most of the time.
However I really love it and I was so happy only yesterday--when I happened to see a great match with Roger winning quite easily--truly a sight for sore eyes if you're a RF fan.
But it wasn't to last--and I really hate myself for caring so much--not just for Roger --but I also felt the same for Pete Sampras--and I feel the same about my Basketball team--the Houston Rockets--who finally after 12 years of trying --have made it into the second round of the play-offs!
I have to appreciate the moment--since it will probably take another 12 years until they make it into the third round--especially since they play the LA Lakers next--and they have been the best team this season.
So in order to get over the pain this morning--I forced myself to go out and walk at Redondo--despite the drizzling rain--which soon escalated into a heavy downpour.
I was surprised that there was hardly any activity today--especially since it was Opening Day for the boating season--and always, even in the most foul weather the boaters had come out in force. I only saw one yacht in my twenty-five minute walk, and when I caught up with one of the regular walkers I happened to mention this in passing--and he smartly pointed out--that the parking lot was full up--and concluded that the boaters were all out at sea.
With that mystery solved I finished my walk and for the first time ever bought myself a coffee--before heading home.
I am happy to say that one of my kids is returning home after five months away--and that means lots of cool things to think about, as well as a little effort on my part to re-arrange the living quarters for two--instead of just me and the cats.
So I'd better hop to it--and maybe I'll have something more interesting to say later--in fact I do have one more thing before I go!
No This will be a new post!
