Those words by Barbara Boxer said it all!
She was talking about our President Obama's address to the nation and congress earlier tonight!
After weeks of incoherent ranting by tired old republicans, jealous, scheming ex rivals and a few brand new hopefuls, it was at once-- soothing, comforting and inspiring to hear our president speak!
Besides being so damned good looking and charming, he is always so astute and insightful and I'm so proud of him-- as if he were my own kin.
Also to see our beautiful First Lady sitting in the balcony section, was just a fantastic feeling and such a change from what we've been used to.
Energy, Health Reform and Education are the three top subjects on his agenda--and he means to bring them all about sooner rather than later. There are meetings scheduled for health reform for next week!
He wants America to lead the way in all good things like dealing with climate change, all kinds of new energy sources and fund our education system--so we really can compete and eventually lead again! It was a great speech--and I can't wait until the next one.
I really felt that he had been listening to us--The people who elected him and he gave us what we needed to hear, and the belief that he really meant every word he said.
So with that, I'll sign off until tomorrow.
